Ralph and Christina

When we started out on this journey the goal was to simplify our lives, to stop living at work and start working at living.
The plan was to build a house and one or two small rental cabanas to help offset living expenses.  Retiring early in Canada was not feasible for us.  Moving to a place where the cost of living was substantially less was a way for us to achieve these goals.
As with all of life’s plans we had to go with the twists and turns and although it took longer than we anticipated, here we are, ready to share our peaceful little spot on the Caribbean.

We want to thank all the family and friends that supported us in our decision, the people who believed in us and who continue to be our cheerleaders.  The ones who literally had a hand in us getting here, you have our sincere gratitude, you know  who you are.  A huge thank you to our daughter for the excellent photography skills as some photo credits belong to her.

Milo

Hi!  I’m Milo!  I am a very happy dog.  I love my life here on the beach.  I get to run free and jump in the sea any time I want.  I LOVE digging for crabs and grabbing coconuts and bringing them back for my humans.  They don’t seem to appreciate it though, something about them piling up and the mess I leave behind.  Whatever, it’s fun.  I often hear my humans telling other humans that I sure am handsome but not very bright.  I like running after things but apparently I am clueless with what I’m supposed to do when I retrieve them. I look forward to meeting you and licking you if you let me.

Choco

Hi!  I’m Choco!  I was told I was a very special dog by my foster people and my new people say the same thing, but they say it in a funny way.  The lady says I’m neurotic, but I don’t know what that means.  I know she loves me and that is all I care about.  She is my favorite, in fact, I LOVE all the ladies.  I adore affection and roll on my back for belly rubs.  I really like to stick close to the humans, and sometimes I forget who they are and I start to bark because I have the attention span of a goldfish. I like to play at dusk and Milo ignores me all the time and I have to coax him to do stuff with me, I guess that’s what brothers do.  We are the best of buds though.  I can’t wait to meet you and sit on your feet as I like to lean my body next to the ones I feel safe with.
